One of two recently purchased container bought by KYFC to replace their previous inadequate facilities, has been kitted out with a fully furnished kitchen thanks to a grant of £4,000 from The Provincial Grand Master’s fund of Yorkshire, West Riding as part of West Riding Masonic Charities’ donations to worthy causes.
The photograph shows Richard Butler and David Blunt of The Lodge of Harmony No. 275 presenting the cheque for £4,000 to Joanne Bedingfield Chair of the club accompanied by some members of the youth football teams.
A committee member said “This has enabled us to accelerate our plans for further improvements and made us much more self-sufficient to benefit the hundreds of children who take advantage of the commitment volunteers give to this worthwhile cause.”
The kitchen will not only supply drinks and sandwiches for spectators and players but the profits from their sales will be a significant income for the Club which will enable them to start work on the next phase of their development.
