So far £18,335 has been raised over the past few years for Yorkshire Cancer Research by collecting the humble plastic milk bottle top. Kirkheaton Community Centre and other groups like us collect the tops which are sold to a plastics recycling firm who makes them into granules to be sold on to be made into garden furniture etc. So keep dropping off your tops* at the Centre – you never know you might then find yourself sitting on them reincarnated into a plastic chair sometime in the future!!
* plastic milk bottle lids ONLY please!
