YT volunteers led by Julie Mander, have now started transforming the roundabout in front of the Doctors’ Surgery on Town Road. All the bedding plants, alpines, internal box hedging. cordylines etc have been removed and are now being gradually replaced by more drought resistant perennials which it is hoped will prove to be more sustainable. On completion of the planting gravel will cover the soil to retain the moisture and to discourage weeds. Watch this space!
