Our sacks of recycled milk bottle tops collected at the Community Centre have helped raise the total of £16,445 for Yorkshire Cancer Research. The charity sells the tops to a Yorkshire firm who process them into granules which are then sold on to be made into a variety of garden furniture. – Less waste, retention of valuable resourcesat the same time as raising money for a good cause. A win win situation!
Kirkheaton residents are asked to leave their donations of plastic milk bottle tops* at the Community Centre at any time it is open.
The processor only want plastic milk bottle tops – [of any colour] so please don’t add any other tops as most are not suitable for processing .
