After much delay (the first housing proposal was made in 2014) permission was granted on June 13th 2024 for 41 houses to be built on the Broadhead and Graves mill site on Shop Lane. There will be a mixture of 2,3 and 4 bedroomed houses. There will be pedestrian access onto Shop Lane and Bankfield Lane and the vehicular access will be at the bottom of the site. A new feature is the provision of parking spaces for the residents of Doctors Row which will be sited behind the terraced houses.
