Kirkheaton History Group are now displaying an old picture of Kirkheaton every month in the Community Centre. It is to be changed monthly and will reflect the changing face of Kirkheaton from Victorian and the earlier part of the twentieth century.

The first one shows what is believed to be  the oldest building of the village – The Spangled Bull which was built in 1740 as a farm.

 

Why not visit the Community Centre on a Saturday morning to have a look at the latest picture and at the same time enjoy a cup of coffee and a home made cake at  at our Old School Room coffee shop?
There are other historical photos and memorabilia on permanent display in the Community Hall to look at as well
