A few days ago the Community Orchard  on Heaton Moor Road was vandalised. It had been noticed earlier in the week that the soil had been dug up – possibly to make ramps for bikes, leaving swathes of muddy  tracks. But later the Bug Hotel built by adult and child volunteers had been partially destroyed and a mature tree had some of its bark stripped leaving it vulnerable. The whole area was a mess. . The orchard is a place for the whole community to enjoy and a lot of volunteer hours have been spent maintaining it. A new seat financed by Yetton Together is due to be installed soon as well as new signage. So please be vigilante and report any antisocial behaviour to the police.
