Kirkheaton is looking lovely at the moment. The woods around are carpeted with wood anemones and celandines which  open up with the sun. The sun is shining and the birds are singing and busy building their nests. On the streets our tubs are looking good and the daffodils planted around the village are in full bloom. We have Nature to thank  – who despite our sometimes disregard for her, still comes up trumps. Enjoy!

Celandines – the word means ‘joy to come’
