Kirklees were very impressed by the number of people who filled in the original consultations about the three play areas in Kirkheaton – Bankfield Lane, Fields Way and Sunnyhill. They have never had such a good response before.
The Council has now used your comments and suggestions to develop the playareas and have incorporated them into their preliminary designs for each space. Due to their proximity they have decided to create design proposals for all 3 sites at the same time, in a masterplan for the area. This is so that they can complement each other and provide a wide array of play opportunities for the wider area and promote active travel between all sites.
Now it’s your chance to have your say on these plans. Please go to kirklees.gov.uk/playablespaces to register your comments on the three proposed designs
Kirklees say: We’d like the community to view the designs and feedback to us what they think. Based on the feedback received, we will then make any amendments to the design that are practicable before implementing the final design (as agreed with your Local Ward Councillors) on site.
So please let your views be known. At present the likely date for the end of the consultation period is Sunday 21st May. So get on line and make your opinions known – the survey only takes between 5 to 10 minutes of your time
