Knit n’ Natter and Craft groups based at Kirkheaton Community Centre, are passing on their knitting skills to the younger generation at Kirkheaton Primary School. Over approximately 6 weeks all Year 2 children are having  the chance to learn to knit under the watchful  eyes of members of the groups.

Comments from the groups include:

“It’s really rewarding seeing their eyes light up when they start getting the hang of knitting “

“I love seeing the concentration on their faces when they are trying to wrap the yarn around the needle and then slide it off. “

”My learner was so proud to have managed to knit three rows without dropping a stitch and so was I !”

A rewarding time is being  had by all.
