We have just delivered our latest  two sacks of plastic milk bottle tops to Yorkshire Cancer Research. The tops were collected by users of Kirkheaton Community Centre and Kirkheaton Primary School. Yorkshire Cancer research will sell them to a recycling firm who manufactures robust outdoor seats etc from the tops.

A total of £5k + has already been raised by the collection of tops by various groups.

Since the scheme was set up in 2019…

Over  1,000 sacks of bottle tops have been recycled, which is the equivalent of 2.5 tonnes of plastic.

A win all round!
