Another full sack of plastic milk bottle tops are on their way to be recycled thanks to residents of Kirkheaton who save them and them bring them along to the Community Centre. Yorkshire Cancer Research benefits from the collection of the tops as they then sell them on to the plastic recyclers. The Charity have already received well over £10,000 from the recylers. The tops will be pulverised into pellets to be made into new plastic which in turn supports sustainability.
So Win! Win! for the planet and for the Charity.
Please note we are happy to receive clean plastic milk bottle tops at the Community Centre but cannot recycle any other plastic tops.( all colours and clear plastic milk bottle tops acceptable. They have the number 2 in the recycling triangle (see photo)
